Patience… … …Yeah!

In the words of one of my favorite bands:

“…little patience, mm yeah, mm yeah
need a little patience, yeah
just a little patience, yeah
some more patience, yeah
need some patience, yeah
could use some patience, yeah
gotta have some patience, yeah
all it takes is patience,
just a little patience
is all you need”

I woke up this past Friday morning, I guess not in my normal chipper mood, and everything bothered me. I mean everything, from the way the dogs jumped off the bed, to the way my hair was behaving. Then my son woke up…I was like really?! I didn’t even get to take my morning shower…Oh well! Mommy always loses out on that. Well, he was wet, wetter than wet. We are potty trained, however nighttime and naptime are something we are struggling with. He wears, “nighttime big boy pants” aka cloth trainer pants. Unfortunately, his wetness sent me over the edge…I got him in the shower with me and put my daughter with toys on the floor.

While in the shower, which is definitely what I needed, I began to calm down and think not myself…”Relax…Think of the Guns N’ Roses song…all you need is Patience” I just kept telling myself that over and over and over again!

After I got out and got everyone dressed, I felt better…I wasn’t snappy like I was before…I hate when that feeling comes over me, because I don’t want to take my feelings out on my son or daughter. They aren’t the ones that woke up on the wrong side of the bed…pun intended!

So when you’re stressed and want things to go your way and they aren’t…Take deep breaths, look at your baby (ies) faces, and think of Guns N’ Roses or maybe whatever relaxes you!

Till Next Time!

Hi! I’m Kerry and I’m the Semi-Crunchy Stay at Home Mom! Thank you so much for visiting my blog! I hope that you will enjoy reading my successes, struggles, and failures of being a Semi-Crunchy Stay at home Mom. I am happily married to my wonderful hubby, Casey, for 5 years! I have two children, Ethan (2) and Eva (7 Months). I also have two fur babies, Chesapeake (5) and Bayly (3), they are both fun-loving labradors. I was an elementary school teacher for 5 years, and taught second and fourth grade. I am now so blessed to be able to stay at home with my children. While being at home, I am a full-time cloth diapering, breastfeeding, baby-wearer, who tries to be as natural and organic as I can be…aka a Semi-Crunchy Stay at Home Mom! Thanks Again!
